Books ARE fun

Something about me that most do not know.. I collect blank books. I OBSESSIVLY collect blank journals/ sketch books. I love them. They are inspiration waiting to happen...

Thing is, I doodle or write on one or two pages, then shelf them. That has to say something.. Therapist?

Last night, I decided to starbucks card mosaic the cover of one of the blank books. It turned out awesome! Here you go:

It has been a while

A friendly game of checkers?



This checker board is made with upcycled / repurposed starbucks gift cards. I took the once redeemed cards and adhered them to a wooden box. The box is filled with polymer clay baristas and polyclay coffee mug hats.

I have taken a page from Heathenshearth's book and started my own line of Etsy Inspired pieces. The MISTY and The AMY are the two masterminds behind heathenshearth, embodied in these unique upcycled gift card bracelets. PINK and girly for Misty.. Black and Mysterious for Amy. The Clem, was inspired by Clemartdesign.Etsy.Com and her spunkiness! There will be more to come.. I promise.

New Creations...

In my shop, you notice there are rarely any earrings. Why?! Well, I do not typically wear them. So, I just do not think to make them.

Lately, I have gotten numerous requests for earrings.

I know there are many giftcard earring makers on Etsy now. Since I started selling upcycled gift card jewelry, TONS of others have followed.

But, I am going to put my JUPITA twist on things. I hope you enjoy my Unique One of a Kind Jupita Originals!!!

What is up with your shop?

Well, my shop is full of awesome! Starbucks cards, that are headed towards the circular filing cabinet of doom, come to me to find new life! I repurpose them into Bracelets, Bags, Necklaces, Keychains, Boxes and many other fun items.

Creating some FUN(ky) wearable art makes me happy. I am making art while I am helping keep waste out of the landfills!

Where can I send my old gift cards? I want them to find a new life!

I love to receive the gift cards that others would just toss aside, throw away, or leave sad and alone in their bags. They do not have to be just starbucks cards. Next time you receive a gift card, go buy yourself something nice, then send me the gift card! I will turn it into something pretty!! Or, ask your local coffee house barista to save the ones their customers are done with, then send me a whole lot!! (Address?
